the Low Hanging Fruit Report: Staff Services Analyst Openings That Don't Require a Statement of Qualifications or Supplemental application

I like the Staff Services Analyst job classification for a host of reasons:

• All you need is a bachelor's degree in ANY major to qualify to take the exam, and the starting salary for those with bachelor's degrees is $58,614/year, in the middle of the salary range. It's great for those who have recently graduated college with a bachelor's degree and no job.

• You qualify to take the exam if you have four years of experience performing analytical, technical, clerical, and/or customer service duties and have graduated from the 12th grade. You would start at the bottom of the salary range, though, at $44,948/year

The problem is that most Staff Services Analyst job openings require a Statement of Qualifications or Supplemental Application as part of the job application, which are time consuming to write. Once in a while, some of them don't.

These don't. Some of them may be limited term (not permanent) positions. Get in where you fit in. The State's fiscal year ends June 30, so departments will be in rush to fill positions for fear of losing them.
